Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 9, 2026This Privacy Policy describes how JROD Digital LLC ("LaneHarbor," "we," "us"), the operator of LaneHarbor (laneharbor.ai and app.laneharbor.ai, together the "Service"), collects, uses, and shares information. The Service is business software for freight brokerages.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Name, business email address, company name, and authentication credentials when you create an account or request a demo.
- Customer business data. Information our brokerage customers enter or connect into the Service in the course of running freight operations: load, shipper, carrier, driver, rate, document, insurance, and accounting records. This data belongs to the customer; we process it to provide the Service.
- Public regulatory data. We collect and process publicly available data published by the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and related public sources, including registration, authority, insurance-on-file, and safety records, to compute carrier risk signals for our customers.
- Location data. If a driver chooses to share location through a LaneHarbor tracking link, we collect the device's location only while sharing is active and only after the driver grants browser permission. Sharing can be stopped at any time.
- Usage and technical data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken in the Service, used for security, debugging, and service improvement.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To compute carrier risk signals from public regulatory data. These outputs are informational risk signals derived from public records, not verdicts, accusations, or consumer reports, and are presented to our customers with their underlying sources for human review.
- To send transactional communications (e.g., document links, account notices) and, with appropriate opt-out mechanisms, business communications you have requested or that relate to services we believe are relevant to your brokerage.
- To comply with legal obligations, including records retention under 49 CFR 371.3 where applicable to our customers.
3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting and infrastructure (e.g., Hetzner, Cloudflare), email delivery, SMS delivery (e.g., Twilio), and AI processing providers (e.g., Anthropic), each bound to use data only to provide their service to us.
- Integrations you enable. If a customer connects a third-party service (for example, QuickBooks Online by Intuit), we exchange the data necessary to provide that integration with that provider, under that provider's terms and privacy policy. Customers can disconnect integrations at any time.
- Within a customer's workspace. Data entered by a brokerage's users is visible to other authorized users of that brokerage's workspace according to their roles.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LaneHarbor, our customers, or others.
4. Data retention
We retain customer business data for as long as the customer's account is active, plus any period required by law or by the customer's regulatory obligations (for example, three-year retention of transaction records under 49 CFR 371.3). Account data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after account closure, except where retention is legally required. Customers may export their data.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, network firewalls, secret management, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage strong passwords and prompt reporting of any suspected issue to [email protected].
6. Your choices and rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
- Marketing emails include an unsubscribe mechanism; opt-outs are honored promptly.
- If you are a carrier or driver whose information appears in a customer's workspace or in a risk-signal report and you believe public-record data about you is inaccurate, contact us at [email protected]. We will review and annotate or correct our derived signals where warranted, and direct you to the relevant federal source for corrections to the underlying public record.
7. SMS and text messaging
LaneHarbor sends transactional text messages (SMS) on behalf of JROD Digital LLC. The primary message is a single, one-time secure link a driver can tap to share their live location for a specific load they are hauling for a LaneHarbor customer; we may also send related transactional notices such as document links or delivery updates. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- How consent is obtained. Consent to receive these messages is obtained verbally, by phone, during the freight dispatch call, before any message is sent — there is no web sign-up form for this program. Our dispatcher identifies LaneHarbor, describes the one-time location text, confirms the recipient's mobile number, and records the recipient's explicit agreement against the load record.
- Message frequency and cost. Messaging is transactional and low-volume — typically a single message per load. Message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient's mobile plan and carrier.
- Opt-out and help. Recipients may reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, CANCEL, END) at any time to opt out of further messages, and HELP for assistance. Opt-out requests are honored immediately.
- We do not sell or share this information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are used only to deliver the transactional messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. A phone number is disclosed only to our SMS delivery provider (Twilio), solely to transmit the message the recipient agreed to receive.
8. Children
The Service is business software, not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
