SMS Opt-In & Messaging Disclosure
Effective date: June 9, 2026This page describes the transactional text-messaging (SMS) program operated by JROD Digital LLC (DBA "LaneHarbor," laneharbor.ai) and how recipients consent to receive messages. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What we send
The program sends a single, one-time secure link that a driver can tap to share their live location for the specific load they are hauling for a LaneHarbor customer. We may also send related transactional notices for that load, such as document links or delivery updates. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Messaging is transactional and low-volume — typically one message per load.
2. Opt-in type: verbal
Consent is obtained verbally, by phone, during the freight dispatch call, before any message is sent. There is no web sign-up form for this program. Before texting, our dispatcher identifies LaneHarbor, describes the one-time location text, confirms the recipient's mobile number, obtains an explicit "yes," and records the consent — timestamp, mobile number, agent identifier, and script version — against the load record.
3. Consent language (verbatim script)
The dispatcher reads the following before sending. It states the brand, the message type, that it is not marketing, that message and data rates may apply, and the STOP/HELP instructions:
"Hi, this is [agent first name] with LaneHarbor — the freight load-tracking service operated by JROD Digital LLC. For the load you're hauling for us, I'd like to send a one-time text message to your mobile phone with a secure link you can tap to share your live location for this load. It's a single transactional text tied only to this load — not a marketing or promotional program, and we won't use your number for anything else. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
First — is it okay if I text you that one-time location link? [wait for an explicit "yes"]
Great — and the best mobile number is [read back the 10-digit number]; is that correct? [wait for an explicit "yes"]
Perfect, thank you. I'm confirming you've agreed to receive this one-time location text at [number], and I'll send it now. Our terms and privacy policy are at laneharbor.ai/terms.html and laneharbor.ai/privacy.html."
4. Example consent exchange
Agent: "Hi, this is Maria with LaneHarbor — the freight load-tracking service operated by JROD Digital LLC. For the load you're hauling for us, I'd like to text you a one-time secure link you can tap to share your live location for this load. It's a single transactional text tied only to this load — not marketing, and we won't use your number for anything else. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help anytime. Is it okay if I text you that link?"
Driver: "Yeah, that's fine."
Agent: "Great — is 313-555-0147 the best mobile number?"
Driver: "Yes."
Agent: "Perfect — I'm confirming you've agreed to receive this one-time location text at 313-555-0147, sending it now. Terms and privacy are at laneharbor.ai/terms.html and /privacy.html."
[Consent is logged to the load record; the single location-link SMS is sent.]
5. Sample message
The one message sent restates the brand, STOP, HELP, and rate notice:
"LaneHarbor: Tap your secure one-time link to share your live location for this load: https://app.laneharbor.ai/s/3FQ8KD2 Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply."
6. Opt-out and help
Recipients may reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, CANCEL, END) at any time to opt out of further messages, and HELP for assistance. Opt-out requests are honored immediately. For help you may also email [email protected].
7. Your mobile information is not sold or shared
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are used only to deliver the transactional messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. A phone number is disclosed only to our SMS delivery provider (Twilio), solely to transmit the message the recipient agreed to receive. See our Privacy Policy for details.
